Horse weathervanes rose to popularity (and a lot of roofs) in the mid-1800s, thanks to a series of racing horse prints by Currier and Ives. One of the most favored of these aerial equines was a replica of the champion trotter, Ethan Allen. Jubilee is our homage to history and the horse that shared our name. This textured sheet iron sculpture was stamped, its edges sanded and ground by hand to remove burrs and rough spots, then mounted to a block of hand-finished mango wood.
